These figures are a general guideline; the service life depends on the location, weather conditions, and geographical factors (e.g., the service life is shortened if the flag is installed near the coast, etc.). In adverse weather conditions, it should be noted that flags—regardless of their durability—can be easily damaged in a storm if they are not taken down in time.
